BUSINESS CASE

A complex training ecosystem serving everyone
01 OVERVIEW
EDF, a major player in the energy sector, is facing profound transformations: global expansion, accelerated energy transitions, digitalization, and the rapid evolution of skills. In this context, the company aims to strengthen the development of technical expertise and provide its 165,000 employees with a training system tailored to their needs.
The project involves the gradual rollout of a complex, integrated ecosystem combining Bealink LXP, Bealink LMS, and Bealink TMS. This approach addresses regulatory requirements, simplifies the management of authorizations, and delivers a richer, more personalized learner experience — suited to the diverse needs of a highly heterogeneous workforce.

03 CONTEXT & CHALLENGES
EDF brings together a wide range of activities and specialized professions, all subject to strict safety, regulatory, and performance requirements — including electricity generation, sales, R&D, trading, and infrastructure maintenance. These specificities require a differentiated training approach, while maintaining overall consistency.
In a constantly evolving, globalized market, the training initiative aims to achieve several goals:
Offer a variety of learning methods tailored to the operational constraints of each profession
Increase both the frequency and reach of training, while optimizing budgets and resource allocation
Create more learning opportunities and encourage collaborative practices
Position the training function as a driver of transformation and employer attractiveness
Provide a modern, simple, and engaging learning experience to strengthen employee commitment
Deploy a unified training portal that leverages existing content without overcomplicating subsidiary IT systems
This project affects 165,000 employees across EDF and its subsidiaries, working at numerous sites with diverse operational contexts.
“We started from a situation where we had many different training systems across the group. With over fifty subsidiaries, each could have its own ecosystem. This created several challenges, especially around the clarity and visibility of the overall training offer.”

04 THE SOLUTION
1. Bealink LMS and Bealink TMS to strengthen expertise and ensure compliance
01 Comprehensive management of training and regulatory requirements
We are implementing a centralized platform to manage all regulatory training, job certifications, and qualification pathways — essential in an environment governed by strict safety and compliance obligations.
02 Process automation and streamlining
Recurring administrative tasks (enrollments, invitations, attendance tracking, and assessments) are automated, freeing up training teams to focus on higher-value activities.
03 Integration with HRIS and multimodular learning
The solution integrates natively with EDF’s HRIS, enabling consistent tracking of learning paths across all entities. It supports a wide range of learning methods — in-person, virtual classes, e-learning, mentoring, and self-paced training — to address the specific needs of each profession.
04 Traceability and consolidated oversight
The system ensures complete traceability of all learning paths and generates consolidated reports to meet EDF Group’s regulatory, managerial, and strategic needs.
2. Bealink LXP to enrich and personalize the learner experience
01 Unified and modern Learning Hub
Bealink LXP sits on top of Bealink LMS and Bealink TMS to provide a single, modern access point for all training resources. It builds on existing platforms without requiring subsidiaries to overhaul their systems, thereby simplifying the digital learning ecosystem.
02 Advanced learning path personalization
The platform delivers an enhanced learner experience through intelligent recommendations based on each employee’s profile, role, and specific needs. Users benefit from tailored paths and content that increase engagement.
03 Dedicated spaces and collaborative contribution
Each business unit or domain can create dedicated spaces to showcase their expertise through targeted content and pages. The platform also strengthens collaboration: learners can share knowledge, create playlists, and actively contribute to the platform’s momentum in a bottom-up logic.
04 Training marketing and visibility
The LXP enhances the visibility, appeal, and engagement of the training offer. It helps elevate the status of the training function and contributes to EDF’s employer brand.
“The platform’s adaptability and ease of administration won us over right from the start.”
